God (Allah) . Meaning . Salah (Prayers) . Surat al-Kawthar

In Surah Kausar, Allah states Fasalli Lirabbika. What is its meaning and to whom is it addressed? How does it differ from the command of Aqeem al-Salat which appears multiple times directed towards the believers?

Sura Kauthar is addressing the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) himself informing him about the great blessed bounties granted to him ( Lady Fatima ) and refuting his enemies' claim that he is a cut off person (Abtar means with no issue). Fasalli Lirabbika means : So, Pray to Your Lord (Who Granted you the Kauthar).

Aqim Assalat أَقِم الصلاة (Establish Prayers) is the order to all believers while Sura Al-Kauthar is addressing the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) alone.

Ghadir Khumm . Sunni-Shi'a . Meaning

Regarding Ghadeer-e-Khum, does the term Maula signify love or friendship as suggested by some Sunni interpretations? What would be an appropriate counterargument?

The Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) made it very clear when he said : For whom so ever I am Maula, Ali is his Maula. Which means all authorities of the Prophet on Muslims are for Ali (AS) by order of Allah (SWT). Can any Muslim claim that love and friendship is the only right of the Prophet (SAWA) without his full authority on us with out following him? Love and friendship with out following is meaningless as Allah Says in Quran (Say: If you really love Allah, then follow me. (Aal Imran ; 31)

No real love with out following the beloved.

Hadeeth al-Ghadeer is very clear prophetic order to all Muslims to obligatory follow Ali (AS) as they are obliged to follow the Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).

Alcohol . Meaning . Paradise . Surat Muhammad

In Surah Muhammad (47:15), does "خَمۡرٍ" refer to the same intoxicating alcohol that is prohibited in this life? If it does, how can something harmful and forbidden be allowed in Jannah? If not, what is its specific meaning in this context?

The word Khamr خمر in Quran does not mean the intoxicant alcohol which is known and prohibited in this life. Khamr of this life is filth and Najis which causes dangerous effects, while Khamr of Paradise completely different as it will be لَذّةٍ للشاربين delicious for the drinkers. It us a completely different drink which does not have any thing similar to the intoxicating alcohol.

According to narrations from the Sh'i Imams, the "day" referred to in this ayah is the Day of Judgment.

In the Shi'i view, the "spirit" is a separate spiritual being created by Allah (not the angel Jibra'il, who would be included under the category of "angels" anyway).

The verse refers to the angels and Spirit returning towards the spiritual realm (nearer to Allah) after the destruction of the physical universe before the day of judgment. That is, currently some angels have jobs in the physical universe, but they will leave the physical universe at that time.

There are narrations that do mention some of these things, but most of our esteemed scholars do not mention it as one of the makruh acts during intimacy, meaning that they might not hold that level of authenticity.

You must refer to your Marja' taqleed on this, but whatever the case is, it is not haram, nor even firmly established as 'makruh'.

What does it mean to perform a Faal, and how is it similar to Istikhara?

Faal is not similar to Istekhara. Istekhara is mentioned in many authentic Hadeeths while we don't have authentic Hadeeth teaching Faal. Faal is a type of guessing what will happen in the future which has not foundation. Many of our Ulama mentioned that Faal is not allowed.

Prophets . Meaning . Hadith . Bihar al-Anwar

Is the narration in Bihar al-Anwar volume 19, page 271, where the Prophet allegedly referred to some well-known Companions as the brothers of the earlier prophets, considered weak? If not, what is its actual meaning?

After transcribing this narration (in which the Prophet praises certain historical personalities as brethren of the ancient prophets) on volume 19, pp. 271-272 of Bihar al-Anwar, 'Allamah al-Majlisi expresses a very dim view of its authenticity and describes it as having "signs of fabrication". Apparently, he included it to discuss it, not to preach that it is correct.

If one's goal is to determine Shi'i belief, one can note that this narration arises through Sunni narrators, including some who were identified as fabricators of hadith, and so it is not the correct sort of narration to look at to determine what Shi'is believe.

Insofar as this is a very specific question, one assumes that it was mentioned on some sort of polemical website (like a website aiming to prove Shi'ism is wrong), and one wonders what the point is. Was the author of that material aiming to prove Shi'ism is wrong because 'Allamah al-Majlisi included a narration saying that the Prophet praised this or that person? Obviously, the view espoused in this narration is not a normal Shi'i belief, and there are ample parts of Bihar al-Anwar to demonstrate that. So it seems that whatever might have been calling attention this is taking it out of context, and this is disingenous.

If someone knows how to perform Salah but unintentionally makes a mistake that alters the meaning of Al-Fatihah, and he is unaware of the mistake, does his certainty that he did it correctly still hold?

If he did it wrongly then rectified his mistake and did it correctly, his Salah will be valid.
