Hajj

Hajj (; Arabic: حَجّ, romanized: Ḥajj; also spelled Hadj, Haj or Haji) is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims. Hajj is a mandatory religious duty for capable Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all adult Muslims who are physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey, and of supporting their family during their absence from home.
In Islamic terminology, Hajj is a pilgrimage made to the Kaaba, the "House of Allah", in the sacred city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

When you have the ability to perform Hajj, you must go for Hajj this year and never postpone Hajj. Hadeeth says: He who was able to perform Hajj but did not, will die as a non Muslim. Go for Hajj and pray to Allah (SWT) during Hajj to Grant you a better faith and better life and better hereafter but never postpone Hajj.

It is not wajib to perform a sacrifice yearly, unless you have done an oath for that. Otherwise, the only wajib time is when doing your Hajj pilgrimage. Of course, it is a highly recommended act, especially on Eid al-Adhha, but not wajib, even if you are financially stable.

Performing Hajj is an obligatory worship for every one who is able to. Ignoring or postponing Hajj for unnecessary excuses is a major sin. Muslim who postpones Hajj will die as Nin Muslim according to the Prophetic Hadeeth.

Helping others to perform Hajj is always very good act but it does not excuse postponing Hajj for yourself.
