Doubt

Doubt is a mental state in which the mind remains suspended between two or more contradictory propositions, unable to assent to any of them.

When I pray, I sometimes feel like I might have passed gas, but I am unsure if I heard a sound or if it is just internal. I don't believe I actually did, but the doubt arises when I hear a sound. What should I do given my strong belief that I haven't?
