Shaykh Abu Ja’far said that our view of people’s actions was that God had created them as a taqdeeri, and not as a predetermined (takweeni) creation.

From taqdeeri creation we meant that God had created functional body parts, but its use had been left to the individual choice. He has always been aware of people’s acts of good and evil (as performed by those components) before or after those acts.
