Is it sinful to keep old drawings of living beings stored away at home, considering I understand that it is only prohibited to display them? I have repented for creating those drawings, but am I wrong for not discarding them?

You must refer to your Marja' taqleed on whether it is sinful to have and display drawings. Most of our contemporary esteemed jurists do not deem them has prohibited.

Mut'a marriage agreement can be recited by the woman and man after they agree on the Mahr and period of the marriage. She should tell him in Arabic : Zawwajtoka Nafsi 'Alal Mahr Al-Ma'loom Lil Modesto Ma'loomah. (Means : I agree to be your Muta wife for the known Mahr and period). The man should reply her saying : Qabilt or Qabilt al Tazweej Linafsi 'Alal Mahril Na'loom Lil Muddatil Ma'loomah. (Meas: I accept the marriage for the known Mahr and period.)

My friend committed a sin with the intention to repent later but now feels genuine remorse and fears he won't be forgiven. If his current repentance is sincere, is it still possible for it to be accepted?

Allah Says in Quran ( O My servants who transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds) Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: verily Allah Forgives all sins) Sura 39, verse 53).

When the repentance is really sincere, the forgiveness is possible.

Is it permissible for Shia individuals to host unavoidable events, such as retirement parties, during the month of Muharram?

We as followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) avoid any celebration during the month of Muharram and Safar. If retirement party does not include celebration then it will be acceptable.

If a chaste girl chooses not to marry, despite being respectful to her parents and financially independent, is she considered to be sinning because it causes her parents sadness?

She is not obliged or bound to marry if she has valid reasons to refrain from marriage, but she must keep her parents' respect and never cause them or any one of them any sort of disrespect or sadness.

Yes. This narration has been narrated in many Sunni books including the well known Sunni book Maqaatil al-Taalibilyyeen by Abul Faraj al-Asfahani, volume 1, page 89.
